I have a hour meter and need to wire it into my quad...help!

i have a 12 volt hour meter and it lets power run through it, so i could splice into a headlight wire if i had to, but preferibally not. but so how could i wire that up without burning it out (or any other electrical parts) on my banshee and/or on my yzf450 atv

you would just use the on wire from the key switch so it will only count up when the key is on

thanks, but my banshee dosent have a key, only the 450 does.

huh, the hour meter i had on my 400 only had one wire on it.

and it was suppose to be wrapped around the plug wire, and zip tied,

What brand hour meter to you have?
