Ran out and took this pic for ya...

The Air/Fuel Screw is the Flathead screw next to the Gold nut... (in the dead center of pic)

I would go with what the instructions say unless u have other mods to the bike. If u do have other mods to the bike i would go with the 1 1/2 turn out and then slowly fine to it if u dont like the way it is feeling or if it is poppin on decell. DONT turn the fuel screw more then 3 turns out because it will have a chance of rattling out while riding. And one more thing when they say 1 1/2 turns out that means turn the fuel screw all the way in and then turn it 1 1/2 out not from where it sits now. Hope this helps

the 06 fcr carb has a "d" shaped a/f screw, remove carb so you can change the pilot jet. then remove "d" screw and cut a slot so you can adjust with a flat blade driver. this will get you by for now.

then invest $20 and get a adjustable a/f screw

you have to pull the bowl off, 4 screws. then you can remove the d-shaped a/f screw. you can do it with pliers or whatever, once the bowl is off you can remove it easily

be careful, there is a small o-ring, washer, and spring. do not lose these. cut a groove in the d-shaped head, then reinstall oring washer and spring.

then reassemble
