Anyone have an opinion whether these things realy do anything? It's a cool place for stickers but do they actually direct a significant amount of air towards the motor to increase cooling?

Air scoops? Yeah they're worth it, I don't have them myself but i've been looking for a cheap pair on ebay for a while, supposedly a 15 to 20% change in temp.

They do work! I have an oil temperture dip stick and I saw a 20-30 degree decrease in the oil temperature once I installed them. I purchased a set from MMF. The are laser cut 16 gauge steel and are powder coated black to match the quad. All attaching hardware was included and installation was a breeze with no modifications to the frame or plastics. Best of all they were only $44.95.

Installation of scoops are relitive to your speed that you ride.
Kinda like a spoiler on a fast car, the quicker your moving, the better the effect.
