Ok well i've been taking this thing apart this winter to make sure everything ready for the summer so i dont run into any problems, well near the end of the season i noticed it was burning oil a little after it was first started up but then it went away, and where the cam chain tensioner is theres like alot of oil around there so im kind of confused... any help would be appreciated thanks

if its only doin it when you first crank it up, sounds like valve seals to me, they will let oil leak down on the piston, and when you first crank it, it will let it burn off and then quit smoking, id replace those it should help. and maybe the gasket around the tensoiner is hopefully the only problem there.

I have the same problem...I start her up and it burns...its very easy to see...and then once shes warmed up you can still smell the oil burnin but it is not as bad...so it is constantly burning oil....

What do I do?
What do I need?
How much will it cost?
