I like my Pro Armor.

Bradley300 how much does that cost? is it compareable to a regular skid plate? I wouldn't think the disc would get much protection from that little plastic skid...

Cobra USA makes some of the best looking skid plates around. They are thick and provide plenty of protection. Here's a photo of a full set of Cobra skids mounted on my 400EX.

I picked up an Armadillo Off-Road skid plate, and the thing is a beast. I have had some hard hits and absolutely no thoughts of damage. Their plates are 0.25" thick, most everyone else is 0.190" thick. Their's comes with a chain slider already installed, and some of the others you have to pay extra for the chain slider. They were also the cheapest at 79.99. I actually got mine from RockyMountainAtv cuz I was ordering some other stuff and got free shipping, but you can order direct from Armadillo.

I think TAG has a new poly skid plate out, a bunch lighter and a still tough as nails. Id look into them too.

I built one out of a road sign and it is pretty heavy duty.

how big was that road sign?..................... and on my 400 it has the 1/4 skid...... small cracks now on the rear welds......... but i have an 05 400ex and ive been in reverse going like 10mph and ive hit a giant rock............. trust me....... these things are made to slide backwards.......... it was an abrupt stop

I have used dg baja frame plates on the 300ex ac racng on the banshee and 400ex. prm bumpers on 300ex and 250r. protec stainless swinger skid (liked) and prm I believe it was the .125 chassis skid plate on the 250r. I am currently putting together another 300ex and 400ex and I dont know if I should get the pro tec stainless skids with prm bumpers or get the prm .125or .190 frame skid and their .190 or .250 swinger. going to use prm baja rear bumper and summit fronts. FOR CHASSIS SKIDS WHAT WOULD OTHERS RECOMMEND?? I LIKE THE IDEA OF THE STAINLESS OR .190 PRM. ANYONE HAVE ANY SUGGESTIONS.. DJ BAJA BELIEVE WAS .190. I RIDE WOODS AND PLAN TO START RACING XC TYPE RACES.

My Cobra USA Body and A-Arm skid plates are .190. The Swingarm is .250 because it's a little lower to the ground. I prefer as much protection as I can get. The added weight doesn't bother me. I'm not a racer, I trail ride too.

VERY GOOD POINT HORNET. I didnt really care for the .125 ac racing chassis skid as it kinda bent up a little bit and made taking it off and putting it back on when thouroughly cleaning a hassle.
