Fellow Racers/Series Sponsors/Spectators,

The Stoney Lonesome Motorcycle Club has postponed our March 11th Hare Scrambles race as a result of deplorable ground conditions. Our first race will now be on April 15th and the postponed event has been rescheduled for July 28th (Saturday). The July event is now a 2 day Stoney Lonesome Hare Scramble event (28/29th) allowing us to still have a 6 race series.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause to your racing and recreational schedule. Please forward this email to racers on your email contact lists so that we can reach as many as possible.

I have contacted the AMA, District 15 and our webmaster to get the postponement/reschedule information posted on the web. We will also be sending out a mailer over the weekend and changing our voicemail message to reflect these changes.

Thank You,

Dennis Robinson
Stoney Lonesome Motorcycle Club President

Josh

Are you going to the GP this weekend? Also is the GP tracks alot of MX or is the split between XC & MX pretty even? I am thinking about coming, but in no way am I good at MX.

I was curious becuase I have just put my 400 back together and have been looking for a race to check everything out before the first race for the Indiana XC series. And does the race really start at 8 AM, and how long is the race?

Sorry for all the questions but you seem like you know about the GP series there.

Thanks
James

JImmy,

yes the A and B quad classes start at 8am (district 15 classes)...but if your not going to race for points I suggest racing the Sport quad class (reads racing points class). The sport quad and utility class will start at 10:15am. I am racing the utility class. Also if you race the 8am classes you can also race the 10:15 classes. so you could do both if you wanted.

I have only raced one. I suck at MX too so don't be worried ussually only the top 10 racers are good at mx. The trails are wide (atleast 50 inches) Last race I was at was about 30%mx 40% fields and the other was woods. but I belive the race at webster has more woods.

Let me know if you have any more questions. Also I found out all my info calling the number they were very helpful as well

Can the sport class have any quad run in it? At Haspin the sport class is 300's and below. If a 400 can run sport class then I would run then. Plus I would not have to leave so really coming from indianapolis.

Also are the races 2 hours? How big of jumps are on these MX courses that the GP actually hit? I will plobally roll all of then so I do not break my quad before the first XC.

Thanks and I will most likely be seeing you there.

MOst the jumps are small. If i really wanted too I could prally jump them on my ute. I will prally be rolling them. Its going to be muddy so I do not know how many ppl can really jump in the slop.

Yes the 400 can run the sport class. Its just kinda like a fun for all class. Trophy only class.

Last time I was there the races were 45mins - 1hour. Just depends I guess. Not sure what makes there mind up lol

I spoke to reads racing today and they said Webster is really sandy and tht track is not that muddy. They were working on it today and i guess they can run the whole track with the dozer:eek2:

So looks like the KQ aint passing ppl in the mud:(

Sounds good. A dozer on the whole track, must be wide open. I am trying to finish up everything on my quad. I just cant get the front brakes to push fluid all the way into the lines. Other than that the bike is ready. So I should be there even if it means just downshifting alot.

I am calling them tomorrow to double check about 400's running in the sport class. I trust you, but I dont want to drive three hours to hear something different.

How many laps do you get in within the 45min to a hour race?
I wont call now, I did not know you ran the GP last year on your 400. That makes one less thing to do tomorrow.
