Very inspiring! the guy looks like a hippy but thats a great idea, i mean really think of when you get a hug, that could brighten your day if you were down in the mud.

Police don't ban anything. Politicians that YOU can vote for or against make the laws banning things. The police just enforce those laws.

I seriously doubt that guy got a ticket for anything more than some silly local ordinance against signs or impeding the flow of traffic. The comments under the video say it was shot in Australia, not the U.S..

That was nothing more than a media stunt anyway.

id say its a reflection of how govt. is easily swayed by a couple of complaints, rather than view the entire picture.

its a display of "the squeaky wheel gets the grease" attitude our P.C . government has become..

they didnt try to BAN free hugs - the first place the cop came out looked to be infront of a bank... No normal business would want a gathering of people acting silly and running around - no matter how good their intentions... Same with the middle of the MALL.

i think the message this guy is portraying is great, and i was actually impressed to see a few guys join in (we are typically to infatuated with our image to do such acts), but the bottom line is, if the guy came to my front lawn to do it - i mite let him stay an hour... :D
