Has anybody ever done it? I've never been inside one and mine doesn't leak or anything, but it seems to have a hesitation that would probably go away with a fresh oil change.
I'd rather not tear into it not knowing what will happen, but if it's no more complex than say, a shock, then I guess I could give it a go:o

Well, I took it apart today and found that it is one of the most simple things ever lol. I replaced the oil and I put it back together in about 30 minutes.
It still has a center point that seems to be where it rests and then dapmens each direction, but after a little research I guess that's how the W.E.R. dampers are.
The rebuild only cost me around $3 so I'm happy.

ususlly the center shaft gets a groove in it and needs replaced as well. it will build up air in the oil.
