throttle blip

ok i just installed a 42 pilot and down sized my main yet again to a 155 my needle is on the 2nd clip. fires up and idles nice but when i jam the trottle it just cuts out like its not geting gas fast enough..... how do i fix this... have an ice race on sunday and i don't want that blip off the start cuz it stalls the engine.... plz help

I had a similar problem too. I bumped my idle up an 1/8th of a turn and installed a Curtis Spark Advanced Timing Key and the problem went away. You might tweek your fuel screw a 1/4 turn in or out or try adjusting the idle screw first.

Open up your fuel screw til it goes away. That's exactly what mine did when I rebuilt my engine. It wasn't getting enough fuel.

thanks i think i got it now i put the 165 main back in ad adjusted my fuel screw to two an 1/4 turns and droped my idle down once she warmed up problem went away .
