Go to a 13 tooth front sprocket if you havent already. You will notice more low end.

DRZE kit will bump up your compression. I just did mine. While u do it might as well get new valves cause the stock ones are junk. They will cup.

like raven said, the most cost effective way to gain more low end is to make sure you have a 13 tooth front sprocket, pick up a drz base cylinder gasket, it bumps up the compression almost a point. An aftermarket exhaust does wonders as well. It all depends on how much you want to spend. But for JUST low end I would go with a 13 tooth and go with the drz gasket. You're looking at less than $60 for both.

13:1 piston is a good idea

I just went up 2 teeth on the back. Mech reccomended going that route rather than dropping to 13 on the front, said you get into spacing issues with a 13T front. I did notice that my sotck Z400 motor will now idle in 1st gear where it wouldn't with the stock 40T rear.

Hope this helps

Not trying to flame you or anything Zemo, but be sure to notice that Zemo is running 22" tires. This will make a big difference if you are running 20" tires.
