250EX ate half my oil in engine!

Ok so I went to do a routine checkup on the quad an checked the oil and noticed half of it was gone!!!!!! I'm pretty sure it's not leaking anywhere, what could be the problem here? The last time I rode was about a month ago and it missed second gear, twice. And it wasn't because I didn't move the shifter all the way up or anything. I went from a rolling first to a stopped second. But after the second time everything was fine and felt normal.

whens the last time it was changed? it could be old and broken down, just wearing away. if its really dark and black, its time for a change.

It hasn't been ridden alot but but it sat a way lot longer, I figured that I started it up almost every day since it got cold and let it idle for about 10 minutes, so I did an oil change today just to be safe.

Just keep an eye on it. That is the last thing you want to do is run it dry.
