the dome looks like the aluminum is flaking

What causes pits in the dome?

I'd think poor aluminum during the casting process...:confused:
It looks cracked like a windshield. I've seen lil poke holes from metal hitting the head but not this.

i took some steel wool and twited it in the dome about 2-3 times and it disappeard ,but the dome is not perfectly smooth.

Maybe a carbon build-up?
