The lower engine mounting holes on the yz450 set fearther to the rear....Aprox .200

The rest should be O.K.

The headstay mount is also different than the 426. I also reccomend whenever swapping, buy the complete engine package, engine, carb and electronics. It will save you some time in the long run from trying to tune another carb to the engine.

From what little exp. ive had with edlebrock, i would stay clear of using one. I would say skope ebay for a used 03 450 carb and you will be good to go. As for tuning, adjustability and ease/knowledge of working on, you can not go wrong with the OEM carbs for these engine. They are built to perform right with the engines. Im not a fan at all of aftermarket carbs like edlebrock or even worse(i wouldnt even call it a carb.) lectron:eek2: :scary:

Yes the 426 and 450 carbs can be used on either engine.Use only minor fuel screw adjustments initially to establish a baseline.;)
