ok, i got 2 summer jobs and they both pay really good and i think about mid summer i'll be able to pick up a 450, now i dont know what one,
honda had the recasl buy i dont like how yamah had 2 cams and suzuki has its probs too like the petcock filter and the oil. but i dont know what ones worth my money
i dont know much about the kfx450.
let me know what the best. thanks! this would be more a race quad and a quad i would spen some money in becasue i have a blaster for the trails.
thanks for the imput it helps much! what other quad is a good choice for a bigger quad that i could have as a rase /playin quad to have pimped out.

no matter what go for the 450r, its the best 450. Even though i have the yfz and its amazing. The 450r is just a little bit faster, and is a little better in the trails. It is also better to hook up for mx, if you are into that. Personally i think the yfz looks better but i would rather have the 450r. If i had the money i would have gotten it. The only thing i dont like about most of the 450's is they dont have reverse. I dont know much about the kfx either, but its supposed to be really fast, and good and it also has reverse. If you are into the suspension thing, you would like the outlaw 525 with the independent rear suspension, but all in all my answer would be to get the 450r, you cant beat that honda reliability.

Deffiantly get the YFZ or 450R
I chose the YFZ and never regretted it

I would have to say 450R but that becuse i have one and i love it. I heard lots of great reviews abou the new kfx450 reverse and whole aliminum frame sounds great but i dont kno how it performs becuase its not out yet!! but from what the magazines say it sounds like its worth the money.

LTR450 hands down , 450r would be a second choice, then yfz

woah woah woah, the ltr is really slow top speed wise. It looks really good, but top speed wise it is not that good. Dont you agree. BTW i heard the KFX has a top speed of around 90mph by alot of people. Thats pretty impressive for a stock 450 machine.

I seriously doubt its going to go 90 mph stock, I mean thats a whole 15mph faster then anything else on the market. Theres just no way.

it could be, or it could just be alot of talking. Wait it has to be a lot of talking what am i talking about, the thing didnt even come out yet. Unless someone works for kawasaki and drove one of the things before it is on the showroom floors. But, i mean it is like the newest technology. It has the all aluminum frame, and many of parts. I forgot the part thats on it. It kicks in at top speed to give it an extra little boost.

Yea I cant wait untill it comes out. Its definetely going to be the next addition to my fleet.

03-01-2007, 07:16 PM
i doubt it can pull of 90mph with a stock 450cc motor
but who knows just have to wait and see

The KFX450r is a big part of kawasaki. The never really had an amazing quad other than the 700. But, this new one is so hot, it has everything i need.

basically, im going to wait till it comes out and see what people think about it. It is the first year that kawasaki is making a 450 and it is bound to have problems, but as of now it looks so hot. I'm just gonna sit back and watch for a little bit

i heard a lot of stories about 440's blowing up. I dont think he should get such a big bore kit. Maybe a 416 or something. But, there is a lot of problems with the 440's

same the kfx is hot

I hate when people say buy that its race ready no stock quad is race ready the ltr is wider then any other 450 but you still have to get LT a-arms and suspension so in my opinion no matter what 450 u get ur gonna drop some serious cash on parts if u wanna race. Plus the yamaha and honda are $600 cheaper then the Ltr or the Kfx

I agree. No stock quad is race ready whatsoever. Race ready would mean you don't have to do squat to it to race it competitively. None of the so so claimed "race-read" quads are even close to being capable of this.

i know of STOCK race ready ltr's that have won races in the b class, and 600 bucks isnt that much of a difference,

id take a ltr over anythign else out right now, imo the kfx looks to much geared for woods. also i think its ugly as hell

hate to bust everyones bubble but the is no way the kfx will do 90 no.1 because that would put the other companies out of business and no.2 in the late 90's a organization passed a law i forget the name but anywaythey no factory is not allowed to sell a atv that runs over 80 mph

y would a top speed of 90 put other companies out of bussiness top speed isnt even a deciding facter when most people buy atv's u wouldnt go 90 on a track anyways, u could gear any 450 to go 90 but y would u want to. for lakes?
