What is this shock/swingarm off of?

I have a parts bike and this shock and swingarm are on it. The bike is a 1987 250x. Is this a stock shock and swingarm? I was going to put the resi shock on my 02 300EX but the bottom mount on the shock and swingarm are different. The name on the shock is Showa HA5-671. Would it be worth it to switch swingarms and shock? I am just looking for a better ride on my 300EX.

the shock looks like a 250r shock but the swinger doesnt, i could be wrong

I am not certain, but it looks alot like a swingarm and shock from a Honda 3-wheeler. I don't know if they are different from the 250r, 250x or 350x three wheelers. Just a guess.

I do not really think that is a Honda swinger. I have never seen a Honda with that style linkage mounting to the swinger.

I just looked it up at Service Honda. I am confident this is a Honda ATC350x swingarm and linkage. I have an ATC350x swingarm and linkage laying around at the house and my memory is that they look just like the picture you posted. I did not look at the swingarm and linkage for a ATC250x at Service Honda, but they might be similar.

THAT IS A SWINGARM AND REAR SHOCK OFF A 1986 ATC 350X. I HAD A 350X/ 250X CONVERSION QUAD AND THAT IS THE SWINGARM I HAD.SWINGARM IS 1 INCH LONGER THAN THE 300EX .IT WILL RIDE BETTER WITH THE 350X SWINGARM AND SHOCK.YOU HAVE TO USE SPACERS (WASHERS) WHEN ATACHING IT TO THE SWINGARM .IT IS NARROWER THAN YOUR STOCK ONE.JUST MAKE SURE YOUR SPROCKETS LINE UP . CHANGE THE OIL AND GAS IN THE SHOCK THAT ALONE WILL MAKE A NICE DIFFERANCE.

Well I stand corrected, had just never seen that style linkage and I knew my ol 250ratc didn't look like that. Good luck if you decide to swap it.

I just went ahead and bought a raptor 2001 rear shock. The swingarm and shock you see is for sale cheap if you like.
