I started my 450er last week and it was a pain. It took about 20 minute to start. It's about 25 degrees outside. I turned the idle up and it started. Then with the choke out the head pipe got real hot and red, i pused the choke in and it cooled off. Any reason for the hard starting and glowing red pipe? Thanks

yep- when your not moving the pipe will glow red after idling for awhile- they were designed to be ridden with airflow around them for cooling--- did your fan come on--?????-- (dont be worried though-- that is normal!!

Back the air/fuel screw out a little. That is normal.

I see you are in new york I am in ontario canada so i know it was cold there. your pilot jet will be a little lean for this temp. A 45 will help this. you can't exspect A quad that could go to florida and one in new york to run the same in the winter with out rejetting. If your quad has stock jetting you will need to rejet, if you are going to drive it in the cold.:)

That u need a bigger pilot jet :P

Everyone already knows tho that 06-07's are super lean from the factory.

And I think some pipes are just thin and glow no matter what.

My sparks glows at night and I have a 52 pilot, 185MJ and an HRC needle on the middle clip.
