Not a clue, lets just say my department is 7 miles down the highway from where the fire was, and when we got onto the highway, there was an orange glow in the sky, we were 7 miles away, and a station 12 miles away from us got called, they shut down the county for other calls, so this could be taken care of, lets just say im gonna be investing in some dr scholls for my leathers lol

lol i dont blame ya on that investment! Thats a nice size fire to see it from 7 miles away. Looks like it was huge from the pic. I bet it went up like a match in no time with all that wood inside of it

So did you save it?:p

Ya its always a rush to walk outside and see the glow.

About 4 months ago my pager went off. I ran downstairs grab my shoes my mom goes what happend. I point out the window and you see the smoke and glow in the sky. Full moon night made it look wicked. and that fire was roughly 12 miles away.

oh yeah, went up in no time, got toned out at 8, fully involved by 803.... they make wood furnishings i guess.... had 52 tankers and 3 aerials working all day.... nothing left....

i love the glow at night... this was one fire that i stopped and asked myself, do i really want to go in:? lol liuckily it was bad enough that we just surround and drowned it, with aerials and blitz's....took a long time though...

update, was up and out at 445am for a nice sized rekindle, controlled in 45 minutes, to get back to bed at 7.... things would go so smooth, if hose and pumps would stop freezing! lol

got anything to say, anyone else on here there? how about some stories of your own....
