I was wondering if it was legitimate to fill your handlebars with silicone to reduce vibration as an inexpensive fix???? Someone at the honda dealer told me to do that after i put tag x5 bars on my stock clamps and they vibrated real bad.

Well, like someone on here said before. I think maybe on a sportbike it would help because you are traveling on a smooth surface but you are getting a lot of vibration from the engine and everything else. On a quad you're riding on rough terrain so I'm not sure if it would help too much. It may be worth a shot though.

It only vibrates at certain speeds and from the feel I would say it is 90% from engine vibration........ I hope it helps cuz I just did it

I've never tried it but I've heard it does help. Same concept as that one product--I think it's called the Bar Snake or something like that.

I really don't see this helping much, but let us know how it works out.

Set your quad back on the rear grab bar. Hit each wheel with the water spray from a powerwasher until the wheel is spinning fast.

Each wheel should be spinning smoothly. You will know if the rim is bent because your quad will vibrate. This could be what you are feeling in your bars.

The rim isn't bent, its from engine vibrations. I've had it on my 400ex. It was very noticable. Silicone in the bars is a waste of time, I tried it. I tried a lot of stuff. Those bar inserts work pretty good too, but they're like $60 and they add like 3 pounds to your handlebars (exaggerating) I've also heard that filling them with sand is supposed to work wonders but I never had the ambition to try it.:o
