I got beat on a DJ Stage 2 Jet Kit and want to ride tomorrow. I have a 02 300 EX with the following. DG pipe, K&N with outerwear and no lid. I did the search for the kit but now have to go to Honda for jets. What do I need to get for the main? Do I need to move the needle to start off, if so are there any tricks to that? Should I still start at the 2.5 turns out on the air screw? Thanks for the help?

I would say somewhere in the 135 main jet range. Lower your e-clip on your needle down one notch and turn your air-fuel screw about 2 3/4 to 3 turns out. Thats a starting point. I would get a variety of main jets to try.

Aftermarket pipe, Filter, and No Airbox lid.. run a 132 Main. Needle clip in slot 4. (1 is the slot on the blunt end of the needle).
And the pilot should be about 2-1/2 turns out +/-.

i ran a 128 DJ main with stock pilot screw 2.5 out and needle in the middle. Ran perfect. remember. If you switch back to the keihn jets you have to put the stock needle back in.

I think he never recieved his dynojet kit so he's just gonna use the stock needle, jets etc.

That's right. I did not get the DJ kit so I have been using Honda jets. I am up to a 130 main now. How hard is it to adjust the needle clip? I am use to the slide unscrewing and pulling out.

It unscrews and you pull it out. Take the plate off the top of the carb then unscrew the two lil screws in the slide. Then take the screw out of the slide arm and lift it out. take the needle out and lower the clip 1 notch down with your mods. you might have to go 2 down. You'll have to find out by how it runs.
