MO. harescramble series

i have ben reading an atv book telling you what you should have if you wanted to start doing a certan type of atv racing.i was looking at a chart in the back of the racing section and it said that if i wanted to do cross country (a.k.a. harescramble) i need a "dependable,fast engine,chassis protection,tough tires and rims." i believe that i have the quad to do it i just need to get skid plates and tires(no problem).the other thing it said to do isyou need to have "endurance,pace yourself,ride smart,have tight woods ability and tackling hill climbs."
i have been practicing in a heavily wooded area with hill climbs and fast windy trails.

i was wondering what it would take to get into a harescramble?how much would it cost and where are they held?

it is $5 to get in the gate, $25 to race, and another $5 for the puck they put in your helmet to record your times. I just did my first race last Saturday check out this link for crazy pics

You can just show up and race, if you ride beginner you don't get points but everything else counts for points. You can just pick which races you wanna race.

Just show up and race... If you like it you can keep going with the series.. If you just want a feel for it, just sign up for the beginner class.. This years is going to be a great series..

what do you need to have for a race? besides the basic helmet, goggles, and boots? how are the divisions or classes put together? i have a 250 sport utility and i am 15. what would i race under? i would also consider my self a novice racer.
do they even have classes that small? thanks for the help!

O yeah.. there's nothing wrong with that.. you can run start off running beginner or C class..
