Why do you race? Why do you wake up everyday and look out the window thinking "looks like a good day to ride". Why do you dump so much money and time into a machine that only throws it away? Why do you risk your life to ride or catch the few seconds of air? Answer some of those and you should be fine.

We love to ride, it's that simple. Sure everything else are advantages of it, but when it comes down to it, we do it cause we love it.

it definitely teaches the value of a dollar, stress relief, and it helps you meet a ton of great people.

Keeps you doing something fun, rather than being in a gang or doing drugs. Teaches you good reflexes (mine have improved after riding quads for so long), damn near the funnest thing i've ever done. That's all I can think of.

perswazive...

Just make sure to turn in a paper that has been spell checked/looked over by your family/friends or whatever too. :) Even if your arguement sucks a nice looking paper with minor errors will take you a long way. Trust me.

you better yourself as a person. i learned to control my temper when i started to race... it teaches you to be patient and best of all... not everything works out like you think it should. it teaches you the value of money and the meaning of pain. riding/racing teaches you to make split second decisions that could land you on the podium or in the ambulance. you mature a lot because of it.

I ride to fuel the insanely addicting feel of adrenaline pumping through my body. Theres nothing like the feeling u get after climbing an extremely gnarly hill that looks damn near impossible. The more "on the edge" I get, the more calm I feel inside, its weird.

I'm with FontMaster.

I don't ride to stay active, and I don't ride to meet new people. Sure, those are perks, but that isn't my motivation.

I ride because it's fun.

For other perks, it can often keep younger kids out of trouble, teaches them safety (as long as they ride with their helmet), and often many wrench on their own quads, so it teaches and improves mechanical ability.
