I've ridden on an elka long travel rear end with lonestar outlaw setup. I like my GT Thunder rebuild and link better:o

yeah Derisi,GTThunder and C&D all do dual rate ZPS rears i beileve, Derisi and GT use new links, C&D says it doesnt really need a new link, all 3 companys are exellent choices

What is beneficial about changing the linkage??????? just wondering because I have thought about a better rear shock setup.

i run an elka dual rate long travel setup with elkas dual link. i love my setup but it is a pain to set it up to your liking because of all the adjustments.

Lower ride height/more travel and a different progression rate on the shock. The shock has to be built for the link as well.

Are you missing your helmet in your avatar???

Why is that?

Because it rides nicer. Soaks up small stuff and big stuff. The elka was very close as far as ride goes, they really weren't that much different, however I paid $250 for my Gt Thunder setup and the elka setup was pushing $2000.

I just noticed that I will get that changed sorry. That was the day I got the bike so I liked that pic but it is setting a bad example I do not ride without a helmet.

We have a revalve/respring rear from Johnny @ jh racing and have been very happy!

With his linkage it is plush with the extra travel we were after.:)
