I went down to a #40 leak jet and up to a 170 main jet. It help the bogg a little but not enough. I was thinking about getting the boyeson quickshot. Does it work and will I need to put the #50 leak jet back in if I get it?

You should have gone w/ a 35

all you need to do is adjust the accelerator pump. no need to change the leak jet unless you have adjusted from one end of the spectrum to the other without getting rid of the bog.

ive been reading a bunch about it on yfzcentral from deiselwitch (sp?) and there is a a/p setting for every leak jet. no need to change the jet. i'll find the link

From the link you posted

Also keep in mind, that for most it is quite easy to cure 90% of the bog with:
Tuning the pilot and needle circuit
Setting idle speed properly
Adjusting the AP timing linkage
Leak jet changes
Everything else listed above is for those who need that extra 10%.
