04 450r hot start

im sure yins guys know but i bought an 04 450r carb and installed it on my 400 and i wanna hook up the hot start were does the cable go does it hook up to the stock clutch perch or does it hook up some were else.. if so does anyone have the stock perch and lever forsale or an aftermarket one...

Most people don't install the hot start when installing the carb on a 400ex. They just plug the hotstart hole with silicone or leave the assembly in and tuck the cable out of the way. Mostly because it has e-start. That is one of the reasons why the 06' 450R doesn't have a hot start because it has the e-start. The hotstart is only used on kick start models.

If you still want to use, I think you can get an aftermarket hot start lever from ASR but again, I wouldn't use it if I were you.

I have the same conversion on my 400ex and I didn't use the hotstart. You don't need with e-start quads.
