gas leak

hello, me again, ok when i stand my quad up it the 12 position it leaks gas back through my air intake into my air box if i switch the knob to reserve then it doesnt is something wrong there or is that semi normal??

how much gas? a little ya might happen once in a while.....

mmm idk like in 5 min. maybe a shot glass full a lil less. is there a time limit i should be standing it up for

no time limit I can't imagine something like that. I leave mine standing up for weeks at a time as I have a small garage to work with and I never have any problems like that. I'm not sure what to tell ya man. sorry. sounds like it might be something wrong with the float in the carb maybe? does the engine run well?

well this is my first quad, so um yeah its crazy fast starts up easily even in cold and if i put the switch to reserve it doesnt leak at all, idk i assume it was casue the gas tank was so full, but idk.

sorry dude I really don't know what to tell you. I would maybe try a new petcock but other than that idk. good luck with that man and I hope someone can help ya out.

that seems to be a bike by bike basis. my 04 doesnt leak like that but my brother in laws 05 did! this was when they were both bone stock to. wierd............

idk i dont think its a performance hinderance so im not worried about it for now. thanks for the info fellas
