I have a 416 with a stage 2, but I guess that really isn't helping you. I actually gained some low-end with the stage 2. I'm running 14/38 gearing.

I've got the one listed in my signature, If you have any questions let me know. I can say that I built it almost a year ago, had no problems and she definitely woke up after that... I can pull 5th gear wheelies sitting down on pavement and keep up with most of the 450's.

I was just wondering why everybody tells me that the stage 1 is for stock bore only and it wont help me when I bore it out to 416. I have the stage one now and I am about to put it in but at the same time I am boring it so I was just making sure it is okay. One more question how does the stage 1 improve your power on mx tracks because that is what I ride and I just need that little bit of umph to clear those doubles.

I am looking to do 416 and cam also, maybe in the summer

I definatly don't want to run race gas, just the highest grade pump ? 93 ?, so the compression ratio is what determines the grade of fuel needed, so would I be ok with 10.8 to 1 ratio

thanks

Yes you can go to 11:1 with 93 octane gas.

I've even ran midgrade under emergencies and not had any pinging.

On my 04 I started out with one tooth down from stock in the front and the gearing was too short so I switched back to stock, even dragging with my razr IIs on sod and sandstars on the dunes I have enough power to pull 2nd gear starts all day long no problem with stock gearing.
