my carbuerator is off and already rejetted i forgot to adjust my idle screw anyone got a picture of the carb bowl off where the idle screw is and howmuch i should turn it with a 152 main and 42 pilot for a 2001 400ex with an hmf slip on only

you can adjust the idle with the carb on and all the plastics on, its very easy.......

yeah i need to see like a picture of where the screw is cause when ppl told me two and a half turns out i turned my pilot screws two and a half turns out

Im kinda confused as to what your talkin about b/c u dont have to take the bowl off to adjust the idle screw. i think this is what ur talkin about?

alright thanks now if i was told to do two and a half turns out by fellow exriders members does that mean the pilot screw or the idol screw cause i turne my pilot screw two and a half turns out

Sounds like whoever told u that was talkin about the pilot screw.

You don't need to mess with the idle screw. What you're looking for is the pilot/slow jet. It will be on the bottom side of the carb and will take a flat blade screwdriver. Just right off the top of my head (could me wrong here since I'm using a 450R carb) I think it's between the float bowl and the piece between the carb and head.

You can turn it in until it's lightly seated counting the turns. If it hesitates when you mash the throttle then accelerates, you're short on fuel and need to screw it out. It's hard to say exactly where you need to be but it would be somewhere around 2.5 turns out.

The fuel screw is what you need to adjust. Do you know where that's at? I replied to your PM. Let me know if you need anymore help.

Im having a similar problem. My 2007 is stalling with no throttle. All stock except a motoworks pipe. Any suggestions. Not home were at camp and need a quick fix.
