I just became an AMA member two weeks ago at my first race. I just ran the number 426, which was on my 400ex already. Today I bought a 450r, and it doesnt have any numbers on it. Is there an easy way to change what number you are running with AMA? Or should I just put the same number on my 450r?

I don't think it matters what number you race with AMA, the number is where you race, it can change when you go to other venues...
Your AMA card will not show your number, but have its own number, I believe..

It dosen't matter what numbers you run. Just pick a number and stay with it all year.

HInt stay away from numbers 1 - 20 alot of people seem to run them. I run 82 last 2 digits off my ama card. Also bring electrial tape just in case you need to make a number lol.

You racing any GPS this year? I am racing the first one at webster march 10th.

So even if I ran 426 at the last race, I can run 322 at this next one? I want to run 322 all year. I plan on doing two of the last 3 indoor races at the motoplex, and most of the outdoors at sweet 16 as long as the track is decent this year. I'm really excited about this new 450r. Its nice.

You can but I am not 100% sure if it will hurt your points overall.

You should try GP races too. They are a blast!!!

A grandprix is part woods part mx right? I'm not a huge fan of the woods riding. I dont think my 450r would be either. haha I'll call the motoplex in the next couple of days to see what they say about my number. I am hoping to get some nice pre-made backgrounds and numbers.

If not run your numbers you have now till the end of the moto plex season then switch right before the new season with sweet 16

Im nowhere near the points race, so if it messes that up, its not a big deal to me.
