View Full Version : FYI, quick tip I just tried

I replaced my stock clutch lever and perch and of course had to disconnect the two wires that let you start it in gear with the clutch pulled in.

So what I did was take a small cotter pin and cut a piece about a half inch long. I took a little screwdriver and pried the female clips just a little and slid the cotter pin in each piece and that kept me from having to cut and splice the wires together. While I never plan on going back to the stock setup, never say never, this will go back together with minimal work and no one is the wiser.

Anyways, I've read lots of guys that just say clip the wires and I thought I'd pass this on to you for you guys like me that don't want to cut.

I just used a flat piece of metal cut to size.. like you.. i really didnt want to cut just incase I needed to go back.. but now i have a Magura so i dont think ill be going back to stock.. gona leave it the way it is though since its worked so well for so long..
