Looks sweet:D

My little brother is getting a Johnson that is identical to that. I am not sure what brand the guitar that I am getting is, but it is a burnt wood color.

For a noob it's not about price or looks or even sound. It's all about playability. You can walk into a music shop and pick up 10 guitars all the same model and only one is worth keeping. This includes $100 Johnsons all the way up to $1000 Fender Americain strats. Guitars are one item that CANNOT be bought mail order. If you a noob looking for your first guitar it make good sence to take someone who plays to help find one. Once you learn to play then it's time to find "The One"

Our teacher has approved the guitars that we have chosen and he has let us play them to make sure that we are comfortable with them. We have only been playing for about a month and a half so we chose comfort over brand. Thank you for the advice.

Exactly. Comfort over brand is very important when choosing your first guitar. After you learn and enjoy it then it's time to get to business.

I did the same thing as you trx400extreme. I bought my cousins old ibanez, but mine is a hollowbody/electric Artcore. Mine is red with a whammy bar and it sounds great. Although it looks a little odd when we get on stage to play a cover for As I Lay Dying or some other band and im playing this country looking guitar:p
