What is honing your fourwheeler? just need a quick answer. Something to do with the engine right?

it is kinds hard to explain. it is a process that is used to rough up the cylinder to allow new piston and rings to seat correctly.

Ya, kind of roughs up the cyl. giving it some cross hatch. I think you can get a tool for like $20 or $30 to do it. If your bike is smoking or loosing compression, you may want to get a little bore. Thats what I did, it was only $40 to bore it to a 406.

Honing basically cleans up the cylinder of scratches. I would recommend just boring it and getting the 406 or the 416. Believe it or not it shouldn't really cost that much more and it really helps to wake up your motor. You also keep your reliability.
