bike acts like its constantly flooded, or choke is on....


hold the throtle wide open and it cranks, want idle......


any ideas, anybody else experiance this????

stuck float, or the main jet and or needle jet has fallen out.

never say never, it happened to me....twice :eek2:

ive had the carb off many times, changing pilot jets and that all seems to be fine, any other ideas??? keep goin bigger on pilot until it cranks and idles better????

Sounds like an air leak, clogged filter.
What do you have for a bike? Carb?
Happened to me on my 450er, I had the plate on the slide in upsidedown...

ahhhh, air leak, havent even thought about that, i did notice while i had the bike tore down replacing alot of stuff the black boot/gasket between the carb and head was kinda tore away at the head.... and its a 2000 400ex, thanks, finaly something besides jet swaping to try!!!!!
