atv sport mag bad review?

has anyone read the newest sport atv mag? it tested the 525 and said it starts hard,shifts lousy,and stalls? whats up with that i havent heard of anyone else with these problems?

Yeh I got it. I guess it would depend on how they start them. For many they just grab some throttle and start there quad. You can't do that with the 525, because if you do, it will start hard. There have been some who also can't find N very easy, just like them. As far as stalling, well I guess they need to learn when to pull the clutch in. But again they were on pre-production quads back in Nov. Many of those little things are fixed. Other then that, the review was pretty positive.

A while back one of the editors was making comments on the 525 on their forum, he made the comment "that you do not have to use the choke to start it just pump the gas twice and it fires up". It even says in the manual do not touch the throttle when starting and that has been my experience too. I just hit the starter and it fires up. If they were pumping the throttle that could of been why they were having problems with starting.

Can't wait to see Dirt Wheels edition with the 525 review :rolleyes: I can pretty much guarantee how that one will read. They will use all the cliche' that have been with the Outlaw rather they are factual or not on the 525.

If you guys read a little closer it does say it was a pre production unit. They did fix the little problems on the machine before it was released.....That is why they were delayed.

Pre production or not,. . . . It was a crappie review. The bike could have been gold plated and they would have slammed it! Atv mags SUK!!!!

March issue of ATVaction calls the 525 ATV of the year..Well they said its on its way anyway..They also tested a pre production 525..But they gave it a great review..Te only review I take seriously is the one I give it when I am done.. :)

This bike is going to be a force this year on the GNCC courses..

I thought the ATVsport review was very positive and not crappy. They loved the engine and chassie, but just had a couple small issues with starting and finding N. Not to big of a deal to me. 0 to 50 in 4.78 sec is pretty fast

Careful CHADIX, he may whoop on you with his stock Raptor with lots of weight bolted onto it and nothing to help it go any faster....oh wait, no, he wouldn't!! Raptor guys are the best because they do such a good job of giving themselves a bad name!
