Recently Purchased ESR PRo-x cylinder

I just purchased this 310 kit off of ebay. It has trx7 porting on it (Iknow ESRisnt the greatest at porting) which I think will match up well to my paul turner race pipe, 38mm A/S and Vforce2 setup. It is at a 73mm bore. I have a few questions about this. How many bores are left since it is at 73mm already? What is a stock 310 bore size. Do you guys think the TRX7 porting is a good match to my pipe? I usually run race gas, so do you think I should get a new dome? Sorry for the amount of questions, but this was an impulse buy, and I want to make sure that I got a good deal. Thanks

The 310 stock bore is 72mm & the last bore is 73.5mm. As for the porting, it should go good with your setup. The TRX7 is a low/mid porting & the PTR race pipe is a good midrange pipe.

I was also wondering if I should know anything else when I go to put this top end on? Is there any special procedures for it, or is it just like a stick cylinder? You guys think its a good idea to have the cylinder honed and get some new rings and/or piston before i run it? Thanks

If it were me, seeing as I like to save my money, I would put it together and see how it runs. I would also change my jetting for that setup. After it runs for like 15 minutes and cools down I would take a compression check. If compression is good, go out and roost my man ... and watch your jetting, dont kill it by running it lean.

I do not think that ESR makes a dome for pump gas.

Thats odd, why wouldnt they with all the machining tools they have.

I am not totoally sure if it is indeed a pump gas dome or not, that is what was stated in the auction. When i get the pieces in the mail, i am going to gauge the cylinder and piston ( i have all the correct tools at my work) then if all goes well, i will bolt it all on, (honing the cylinder first). i would like to run race gas (108 octane) what should I be expecting for compression out of this cylinder with a hone and new rings and proper break in using a race dome? Thanks

That head dome should have a number stamped into it & you can call ESR & they can tell you what compression its good for or what cc it is.
