Hi guys,
I have a 2001 400EX and up until now i used Spectrol 4 specially forulated for 4 stroke engines, well I'm hear to tell you not any more. I had problems with the motor smoking until it warmed up and the unwanted loud tick comeing from the motor when it was hot. I Came across an old thread in the foreums about what Oil to use in your 400EX .Boy can you guys argue about crap, well It finally came down to 2 motor oils, Mobile 1 20w 50 or 14w 50syn or Amsoil. So i went and bought some Mobile 1 syn 15w 50.Sweet is all I can say NO SMOKE NO TICK. and boy does it run smoth. I would like to thank the guys that responded to that thread, and all the other questions I need answers for .
