loud slip on

hey i want a new exhaust for my 400ex it's an 01 and i want a pretty loud slip on, i might be able to get a whole system but depends on how loud it is.

Loud does not always equal more power. Don't just get a muffler cuz of it's Db's, get it for the power increase. It's the people that put on the loudest pips and ride where the noise is going to pi$$ people off that ruin it for the rest of us.

My 400ex came with a complete White Bros system, it's awesome, but way too loud for late night riding in populated areas, even with the rings and spark arrester in. Sometimes I wish I could have a stocker just for those times that I wanna be quiet.

If you do get a slip on or whole system make sure you rejet as well.

i have a procircut slip on and its pretty loud and now its alittle louder actually like a deeper tone after a cut like 5in off here is a pic of it...

If you want LOUD LOUD and alot of all around power Go Pro CurCuit. I think it might be the loudest Aftermarket Exhaust out there. The cool thing is you can get a full system exhaust to.But dont think you'll be getting into all the state parks with it, some have noise meters you have to pass through.HMF is a nice set up also. Get alot of input them make the decition for yourself. Good Luck

TC and Nmotion are the loudest pipes you can get period or any shorty pipe will be really loud does'nt matter what pipe.

Go for power, not for noise. Like was said earlier it will just pi$$ people off. The AMA is starting new rules about sound output so we can protect our rights to ride on public land. Plus anything too loud is just annoying.

They don't make them for the 400ex anymore, you'll have to check ebay and buy used. You could buy a really cheap exhaust and cut it to be a shorty, it's not that hard, I did it with my stock exhaust.

yeah like i did with my old procircutT4 in the pic above it was pretty easy i used a hack saw,drill,and vice..u will also need pop vivits and a gun for them...

I just ment in general they are the loudest, if you want a loud pipe just make a shorty from any pipe you can get.

But please don't do it cus I'm tired of hearing stories about people taking our riding areas away due to loud pipes.

any aftermarket pipe u have it pretty much gonna be too loud...so whats the diff my pipe acually didnt get louder it got a deper tone by doing this.....

A big gun evo x would be good for you. When you are at local riding areas, you can put the silencer in. But, when your not, you can take it out. When it is out, it is super loud. It is very powerful and it looks good. If your into carbon fiber, they have a big gun evo carbon. It looks so hot.

yes.. if you get a loud pipe make sure people tolerate it... if not then I would not suggest getting cause you will just cause attention to yourself while riding in your favorite area..

I have a PC full system and its really loud.. my friends can hear me across half way across town when Im tearing it up in the pits by my house.. also if you get a loud pipe.. cops can find you easier..

When my friend told me this about my pipe.. I went back to my stock to keep the neighbours happy and to keep me riding in my favorite areas longer..

oh yea.. you could also gut the internals of you stock exhaust and make it into a shorty.. I have seen a few of those..

any shortie pipe. perforably TC. thats what i had on my 400ex b4 i sold it.nmotion is a nice pipe to . there both really loud and if u set it up rite it will rip too.

Any shortie pipe will be the loudest, I havent ran one to say anything about the powergains. I went with the fmf powercore 4 so that I could put in a quiet core if I needed to. If you really want a loud one cut a hole in the bottom of a coffee can and weld that sucker on...LOL.

Or run no slip on just header and rejet it. Its safe, loud, but takes away bottom end and adds top end.

iv never been a fan of fmf but ya loud wise tc or nmotion or cut the a aftermarket pipe off somewhere in the middle. but if you want good advise most of the advertised pipes arnt the greatest. my list of good pipes are dasa, tc, nmotion, cuttis sparks. but do what u think.

CT is really loud. Its 101dbs with the disks so if you open the back up it will be very loud. Then shorten the thing.

If you can weld then just cut out the core and weld in a solid core with no holes and that thing will be louder than any pipe made and will be good other than noise. Wont need packing any more then.

lol...if u want loud, go for a pro circuit...thas what im running and right now, im not legal on the dunes..lol...ive had my bro and a few buddies behind me and they say if i pass them that their ears are rining cuz mine is soo loud even when they have theiur helemts on...

hey quick question tho..will a header make the exhaust louder??? lol...it says its a 4hp gain on on a procircuit header i found...i was just wondering if its worth it since im already so loud...

yeah..lol...im probably 110db or whatever...not exactly good...lol...im gonna repack it sometime soon...thje limit is like 93db...actually had to run from the dune patrol cuz of that..lol
