View Full Version : 400ex/300ex plastic done right

hey everyone i just put some 400ex fenders on my 300ex, i think it looks pretty sweet, and i did it right, no ghetto rigging here. I just have to figure out a way to make an eyelet type thingy on my gas tank like on the 400. The pictures may suck but in real life it is a beauty.:D

Posts some pics man as many as u can i want to do this to my 300 but want to see how easy/hard it would be thanks id appericate if u can get as many pics as possible

one more and more tomorrow maybe it wasnt to hard but there is an eyelet that goes on the seat and connects on the gas tank on the 400ex. I will have to make something to hold the seat down better.

yeah sure i would like to see the gas tank view also and if you could get some real close ups on the brackets that had to be made to hold the plastic would be real helpfull to thanks
I am 100% sure that im am not goin for some 400ex plastic do u need to use the side pannels if you use the OEM plastics?

i will do my best to get some pictures of the things you guys want to see, i will have to get my dad to let me use the camera. And for the shock mounts they are kinda ghetto in a fashion, but they are stong if you drill all the holes right and have someone weld it that knows exactly what you want. there are no special brackets for the plastic but there is an eyelet on the bottom of the 400ex seat that i had to put on, and i have to find some way to get the front of the seat held down. but it all looks pretty hella sweet.

yeah lil400exman, if i was trying to get the real look of a 400ex i wouldnt put maier on it would put stock, not too mention the 400ex plastic is cheaper than the 300ex since about everybody and there brothers dog has a 400ex the stuff for them is cheaper. any way why the **** are you talkin on this forum if you dont care about it and all you are going to do is flame out your ***. what im tryin to say is stop bein such a flamer or go away:D

yeah i know it is bad a s s. i would say it looks even better than a new 400ex. And it wasnt too hard to do it. Sorry about not puttin on more pics, im just busy gettin it ready for my race sunday oct 6. Hints the number plate. It is an after season competition called the hillbilly gran prix. Its a harescramble series around missouri. Dont lauhg at the name it has some pretty big turn outs and if you live in missouri or any where close you should try it, maybe ill see someone from exriders, by the way i need some stickers from this site so people will know im from it.

nice nice man... that is a really good job with that because it doesnt look overly big for it. i think it is a 10 job. pretty sick color shceme too

yeah it doesnt look as nad as the others, since somehow all the others look cramped. And i almost got stock yellow but i didnt want the side panels or lights, if i did get the stock i would have had to get a carbon fiber hood to make it look good. thanls for the complements. I think it looks sweet as h ell, i just hope it is still there after my race sunday.:rolleyes:

it is a bit crooked but thats nothin some front flips down a hill couldnt fix but i think the mounting brackets are bent or somethin i dunno, but oh well.:o
