The 250EX has a similar top speed to the Blaster, but due to the 2 stroke snap the Blaster has always seemed and been faster getting there...

I don't see Yamaha doing a 250cc 4 stroke quad really. Unless it's simply to get into that class. Is there a 250cc 4 stroke class? Must be a real yawn. My 250EXs aren't bad, but they're nothing special either. How hot is this 250F motor?

its only got about tripple the power of a 250ex,lol

the yzf250 is a much much higher state of tune than a 250ex, and is really just a mini yfz450, but has a hair more power per cc than the 450.

in short, there is nothin in the warrior and smaller class right now or ever that would be close to a yzf250 in a blaster type chassis stock for stock

i thought i had heard suzuki was going to be doing this?? or at least a good rumor.

If I were a betting man, I would put my money on a new breed of 250cc class quad to hit the market shortly:chinese:

Well if the ATVA is going to have a pro-am production level 250cc class in 08' I would expect to see some thing before the end of the year from somebody.

doubtful your talking 300ex size, why not just stick the yzf 250 motor in a chassis with alot of parts already availble

I believe a 250F would work wonderfully in the YFZ chassis for the younger kids. People already complain about the YFZ being too small or cramped for adults, so why wouldn't it be perfect for the younger teens?

As for the Blaster chassis coming back, that thing needs to be buried and forgotten about! Nothing was designed right on that pile of ancient history.

I think it would be cool but, the prices and maintenance is going be up there making it even harder for the racers who's parents aren't very supportive.:(

i dont thinkt here going to be made for 14 year olds... more or less the 16 and up pro, like dirtbikes to expand the pro class to a top 20 in each class.....maybe im wrong but if they did that they could then structure the race weekend like there bike nationals more factory rides for more riders more money all over time

exactly! This is the direction that this sport needs to take, things are so rapidly expanding in the atv sport world , its amazing. The atv motocross scene has been a sleeping giant with so much potential to be everything that the pro bikes are and more. A 250f based race quad is a must...and would be such a find little bike to rip on ! With a contingency battle going on b/w Kawasaki and Honda, full on supported factory teams... I could go on and on, I am just happy that this sport is finally getting the attention and respect that it deserves, and that our riders will finally be able to make a decent living at doing this. ;)

I was told Yamaha and suzuki have one coming out as an 08 model. Its a full size machine with the 250 motor in it. They are still working out the age limit though.
