ok so i have raced a good bit this year and well i was thinking about puting a lowering link on the rear and was wonderign if i shoudl keep the stock shocks on the front and make the back about 1 inch lower than the front? i have a set of forman450 shock s i put on it with the 450r springs on em and the arms with me on it are almost horizonal..... should i run it this way or stick to the stock shocks?

you need to pay attention to your ride height. depending on track conditions you should be between 4-6". measure from the bottom of the frame right behind the a-arms and also at the footpegs (both while sitting on the quad). your front measurement and rear measurement shouldn't be more than 1/2" different. if the track is loose you'd want to be around 5 or 5.5". if its tacky, 4 to 4.5".

i would raise up the front a little. if the track is slick you want a higher ride height. even when its gets a blue groove it can be kind of slick. a swaybar will help a ton also.

yea, sway bar is almost a must. personally id rather have a sway bar then be low without a sway bar...but if i were you i would prolly get a front and rear lowering kit and put the stock fronts back on.

the reason i have them shocks on is cuz there so stiff an it doesn't 3 wheel near as bad..i will be getign a sway bar soon but this will do until today is over

yea, you could do what doober said. put the stock fronts back on with a front lowering kit along with the rear strut. are you doing TT or ovals or both? if you doing TT's with jumps the front lowering kit might not hold up.
