i have the following mods already: full fmf powercore IV exhaust, K+N filter and its jetted. Are the gains any good if i put in a 10:1 comp. piston and stage 2 cam? im scared to put in 11:1 because im usin 91 octane. is a timing key a good idea?

It all depends on what your looking to get out of it. Bottom end or Top? Bottom end you can get away with a stage 1 and 10:1 you should be happy for shredding trails.

You would like what a 10:1 and a HC StageII will do for your quad.

As far as the timing key... I'm not a big fan of them, but others here have reported good results...

I'm real pleased with them.

My builder recommended staying away from CDI's and timing keys.

You'll need an aftermarket CDI, well won't need but it will benefit you alot. Just stay away from White Brother, I suggest Procom Magnum CDI, works great for me. As for a timing key, you don't need it for a modified motor.
