04 TRX450R Jetting w/ LRD full system

A friend wanted me to find out what the correct jetting should be for this setup:

2004 Honda TRX450R
Stock Motor
Stock Carb
LRD Pro4 Full system
K&N filter
Elevation:3000ft? Western PA, near Pittsburgh
Temp: 70 degrees F avg.


He has an Edelbrock Carb for it but can't get it dialed in. We messed with that carb alot and it screams when your hammering on the quad, but won't run for crap at idle-1/4 throttle.

He told me the other day he was switching back to the stock carb, but lost LRD's instructions on the jetting.

I havn't been on here much since selling my Cannondale a couple years ago. Glad to see this site is still alive and kicking. One of the better ones out there.

I suggest starting with a 172 main 52 pilot.

i have about the same set up. except with a sparks pipe. my jetting is 190 main 50 pilot 2 1/2 turns out on screw. i live in st marys pa. no lid on mine eather
