Playin w/ the idea....How much do ya think?

The last couple days iv been playin w/ the idea of sellin or tradin my 416 and gettin a sport bike. Its been so nice here i cant help but have the idea. How much do u all think i could get for my quad w/ everything listed in my signature. I was hopeing for at least 3k$ Everything thats been done to it performance wise is less than 6 months old. Exhaust is only 2 months old w/ a few rides on it. Engine rebuild has maybe at the most 30 hours on it. Shocks have maybe 6 short rides on em. Tires are very much so new. I also have a modified subframe for a 250r grab bar that needs to be put on. Please gimme your input. Thanks

as far as the pic goes i would say at least 3ger! pretty nice and black plastis r hard to maintain too.

yeah they are, The rear left fender is scratched all to hell from the previous owner (looks like he tried to take a belt sander to the fender) but i try to keep it as nice as possible.

Chin_Chilla, PM sent, real nice bike too. I wouldnt mind a trade at all i just didnt think the likely hood someone would wanna trade a quad for a bike is good. Plus im lookin for a 600cc sport bike but the more the merrier i suppose.

Yeah man, that quad looks to be set up nicely. Its all ready to go. It should fetch a good amount.

..and depending on the miles, I would say that would be a pretty killer trade if you got that R1.

Im gettin deployed over to the middle east, Saudi arabia area ill be there for about 2 1/2-3 months, fun fun. but ill make a good amount of money sooo yeah. But hey Chin_Chilla if your really interested get back to me soon b/c i could be leavin any day. Thanks for all the compliments everyone.

It just sucks b/c the resale on these EXs arent very good, specially when you put a bunch of money into em like i have and alot of other people out there that are tryin to sell em. Its just hard to get any of it back out.

Man a 2.5-3 month deployment would be nice. My orders said a year minimum for my deployment to Iraq for the Army. We ended up being gone for 14. Ooh well, What branch are you in?

I couldnt imagine bein gone for that long. Im maintenance on aircraft in the air force so we dont usually go deployed for much longer than 6 months.

Army, Yeah they told me straight out I would be gone 18 months. Then they told us we would be infantry(I've been Armor for 15 years at that point) 5 months into the deployment I was put back as a tanker. tell you what a fire fight is much easier in a tank. And yes muj does think they can shoot at a tank with an AK! Also tanks hold up better to IED's than a HMWWV.

Yeah, tanks can take a little more than a M1114, but I've still seen brand new Abrams get blown up. They are designed for a frontal attack, not an IED below or behind so the fuel cell is vulnerable. I was walking (dismounted patrol with a PL of 82nd in Tal-Afar) with a tank and 2 Bradleys for fire support when the tank hit an IED. It was ironic that the most heavily armored piece of equipment was destroyed, but all us dismounts were fine... so were the tankers. They escaped b4 the shells started cooking off.

I do Civil Affairs so I've worked with alot of people over there, and by far the 3rd ACR and their tankers were the coolest people.

We were replaced by a mix of mainly Navy and Air force people in April, so there are some of you guys that know what our 1+ year deployments are like. They should have fun cuz we roll with way less people (3 vehicles, 9 people minimum), typically in better/newer equipment with bigger guns than most, to include the infantry Stryker platoons.

Not to Hijack this but, Your right. I seen 2 get messed up (1 Burned another was breached right behind the gunner). in all cases the crews were fine, but it is still enough to raise the pucker factor. When were you over/ get back and where were you brother. I was in OIF4 June 05 to June 06 in Ar- Ramadi at a little FOB called Cooregidor. And welcome home.

I was with the 401st CA BN based out of Mosul, Iraq on FOB Courage. We were there June 05- June-06. I was working with the 3rd ACR in Tal-Afar during Sept and Oct 05 when I saw the tanks get damaged.

Ar-Ramadi is down south, right?

I had a bunch of friends down there. I heard it was hot, not temp, in that area. Were EFP's big there?
