300ex clutch cable

i was wondering how to install a clutch cable on a 300ex i have it on there but its way to tight i cant even pull in the lever i think its the wrong cable but maybe im just missing something so can someone go over on how to install it an adjust it thanks

Do you have the cable routed properly. First hook the cable to the perch then run the cable how its suppose to be and adjust the cable on top of the case so there isn't to much slack. Thats all I did. I just put it on the other day. Works great I can pull the clutch in with 1 finger if I want too.

yep thats what i did and its still to tight even with the adjustment all the way out and all the way in we tried both ways and me and my buddys double checked it too. i think its just the wrong cable so im gonna return it for another one.
