Im probably not going to get too many replys about this but I bought a cam last summer from a guy at a track that wasnt in the original box and i remember him having two cams for sale, a hotcams (I dont no if it were 1 or 2) and an HRC. I got a steal of a deal for 20 bucks but now i dont remember which one i bought

on the cam it said hcdj No. 16 in between the lobes

any help is appreciated because I need to find out wut valve clearances to use.

do you guys have any idea on what stage it could be?

I know its probably hard to tell from the pics but my camera sucks

well.. when you put it in, did you notice an increase all around the rpm range but more in the mid to upper? or did it seem like most of the power was at the bottom? Thats the only way i know how to tell. haha

Black would tell us right away it's a Hotcam...
Stage 1 will have bottom end power...
2 will have Mid to top

the bike will not even start because i dont have it shimmed right. I tryed kicking it and it was harder to kick and just backfired every couple of kicks

once i find out what stage cam it is I can then get the valve clearance specs and shim it

i am going to guess that it is a stage 1. i believe the specs are the same for both though???

Yeah specs are the same, I dropped mine in with no shim changing...fired right up.

I also f'ed up when i forgot to freakin look which way the cam lobes were facing when i took out the cam but im pretty sure they were back but im still pissed i messed up something so easy

Ya i definitely have to reshim cuz when the sprocket wasnt on i can just feel by hand that it is much tighter when it comes to hitting the valves

Does anybody have the specs off the top of your head?

The 16 on it means it's a stage 1- shim to .006 int.,.011 ex.
.002 per .05mm change!

yeah, i was thinking the 16 was for a stage one. i think the stage 2 says 24, but don't quote me on that.
