How many teeth are on the stock front and rear sprocket?I heard the front ,stock is 15 teeth, that is the largest one I can find.(Iknow i can pull off the cover and count, but just wondering if anyone knew off the top of their head) I have made some mods, Like bub full exhaust, no lid on airbox, and using a 185 main jet. the bike pulls hard through the first 3 gears and it is hard to keep the front end down. When I'm wide open in 5 gear bike seems to have alot more power t0 give but it will not go. Should I change the front and rear sprocket, or would the front be good enough for more top end?

what year is your bike 04,05, or 06,07?

if its an 04/05 the gearing is fr: 14, rr: 39
if its an 06/07 the gearing is fr: 13, rr: 39

depending on how much of an increase in top end you are looking for, you could mess around with your gearing by possibly going down in the back a tooth or 2 or going up one in the front if you can get it to fit. you could also invest in a top end cam like a HC stg 2.

Drop in a HRC or HC2 cam if you dont already have one. Stock gearing is 14/38 you could go with a 36 rear

This statement puzzles me. You are saying two opposite things. It seems to have power and it will not go...

If it will not rev out, then gearing up will only make it worse... Most 04/05 owners change the front from a 14 (stock) to a 13.

Since you haven't done anything except a pipe and rejet/airbox lid off, you probably don't have the power to pull max rpm in 5th - which is about 81 mph/9800 rpm.

Putting a larger front sprocket on is likely to make this worse...
