I have a o3 400ex. i do alot of hill climbing, jumping, and a little motocross riding. Can someone give me ideas on which tire will be good for all of those? As of right now i have stock tires, but they are almost bald. Any suggestions would be great.

I would look into Maxxis Razr's. They do good on the trail (hillclimbs too..) Jumping doesnt really matter what tire you use, as long as it will get some traction.

Maxxis are also used alot in MX.

Holeshots dont do very good anywhere but the track, unless there HD's or something special like that

Kenda Klaws MXR and MXF (both 4 ply)
or
Kenda Klaws XCR (6 ply) and XCF (4 ply)

The XCR is a little heavier being made with 6 plies but, is much more durable.

The Kenda Klaw tires are a little cheaper than most other top notch tires and the rear tires are reverable for different types of terrain and riding conditions. Also, the tread wear is some of the best in the business.

id recommend the klaws all around too. i had my first chance to use mine in about 6 inches of snow this weekend. with the tread reversed, they did great there too. i havent found a downfall to the klaws. they handle good on dry hardpack, and hook up in soft stuff, and they dont show any signs of wear after many hours on them.

I forgot to add klaws to mine  haha.

I run the Klaw XC's all around on my 400ex, they hook up awsome in all terrains. No sign of wear, and very durable. The price is right too

the razrs are incredible. i got them on mine, and have had them on there for about 8 months now. with over 120 hr on them including road riding and tons of doughnuts they still have half tread left, and they hook up like no other tire i have ever rode. i love them.

dont go razr, i had them as my first tire, then i went to klaws and now im on holeshots. the holeshots wear to fast. both the klaw and the razr wear good but the klaws hook up way way better through out their life than the razr's. imo when razrs wear down to like 75 percent or so they just start to spin and dont hook up to well. klaws are the best tires i have owned

coming from somebody who has klaws, had stockers, shredders (similar to razrs), and has somebody in the family with razrs.. i will never buy razr's unless they're razr 2's. i have swapped rims with my brother multiple times, and i just do not like the way the razrs handle compared to my klaws. also, the klaws are 6 ply over the standard 4 ply razrs. as far as wear goes, the two are not even in the same league. you will not regret buying a full set of klaws. well here is my .02 had razr's thought they were awesome didnt last long at all and like the other guy said when they wear a little they suck. i got hd's now and i dont see me owning anythin else my brother had klaws and he has hd's now and the traction aint even close to the holeshots. they r expensive and real soft compound but i ride woods and love climbing and they r mean as hell!! but its all about what u think looks good and can afford, they r all pretty good.

go ride some quads with tires that you are looking to get. they all have their own handling traits, alot of it has to do with preference.

if you dont want to spend much money go with kendas they are a good tire but if you got the money get razer 2's on the fronts and razer's on the rear that is what i found to be the best package the reason why you dont use razer 2's on the rear is because people have a lot of trouble spinning them because they have so much tread and not enough power

I really like my Holeshot XC's on my 400, I ride almost the exact same type as you, mostly trails with hills and some occasional track time both MX and TT.

They get around everywhere I want to go, good traction, slide nice and predictable in turns, tread has wore pretty well on em.

IMO RAZR's are a little on the heavy side, had a set of em once and wasnt crazy about em. Never had Kenda's though.

BUT my next set of tires Im going to try a set of Trac Stars. I have a set on the front and like em. Buddy has a full set and is happy with em. Ill let everyone know what I think after I wear my XC's out.
