I have a 2005 Raptor 660.I currently have a stock engine, Pro circuit exhuast, Pro Flow Air filter kit and a jet kit. I am looking to get more low end power and a friend suggested going down a tooth on the front sprocket to 12, but I wasn't sure about the tire size in the rear. Do you have suggestions?

i wouldnt mess with your tire size, im assuming you still have 20s on it, 20s are the best overall size, if you went with a 18 you would loose ground clearance and some top speed, but you would gain some low end, you could change the sprokets but that too will lower your top speed, you might want to think about a high comp. piston and cam set up, its relatively cheap and you will gain power all over

I would go down 1 in front. Most people never use the top speed.

you could leave the front alone and go up some teeth in the rear, the rear gives a little more fine tuning because its a bigger gear there are more options

but the rear sprocket costs so much more.

If he's really unsure, he could try one tooth smaller up front and if that's too much, then put the stock back on and go one or two teeth larger in the back, depending on if he wanted more or less difference.

Not sure what your gearing is but if it was 13/40 and you went to 12/40 it would be about the same as 13/43.
