I decided to give up XC racing and try out TT racing. So I sold both my XC bikes and bought a slightly used 06 kicker. I wanted to set this up good so I only used the best parts I could get. I thought I would show you some pics of it as I went along.

First I got the frame and other parts powdercoated wrinkle black

Next I got in my JB Racing Swinger/A-arms/Stem and my PEP shocks with a baldwin linkage.

The swinger has adjustable linkage positions for different track conditions.

Also bolted on the sway bar main assembly and Pro Armor MX pro bumper

I got my engine back from my motor builder - he ported/polished, installed a JE 13.5:1 piston and a Web 943/921 Cam.

I sent all my engine pieces, calipers, sub frame and various other parts to pappy for a match to my JB stuff and he made a great match!

Installed my Dasa pipe with what was supposed to be a TT header but after 2 headpipes from Dasa and both hitting the engine and motor mounts they finally told me that they had never actually put the TT header on an 06. So they sent me a regular header. They took very good care of me and overnighted the headers and payed for shipping back to them. Excellent customer service!

I kept my precision from my XC bike and mounted the rezzies.

Installed my team industries fire stick axle and anti fade nut

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v160/thump4863/Rebuild/100_2733.jpg

Since I'm running TT horsepower is important - so I cut the bottom of my air box off and glued a water proof outerwear air box cover on the bottom to keep any water that I encounter out of the box. I also went with a DASA intake filter and ring for my filter.

Got the front hubs/calipers, radiator/wiring, and IMS pegs and AC nerfs installed

Numerous people told me to just use douglas rims for TT but after speaking to people about it and the simple ease of changing tires and the fact that Hiper has never failed me thats why I went with them.

I'll do 2 for sure - Greenbriar, AR and Ava, MO and maybe Paducah, KY. Next year I'll probably run the whole series. Just don't want to run all of it for a full year my first year of racing TT.

crank, carb, clutch, tranny, venting, valves?

seems like u got a 50 hp machine? what the usual most of them run. i will most likely looking into running for TT in the upcoming year or so.

I spend a lot of times on forums, and I've seen lots of nice quads...

But this one is BY FAR is the best looking I have ever seen.

And I don't even like TT style quads!
It helps that u have a really nice digi cam too.

Very nice.

Motor pretty much is stock besides the cam, piston, and the port/polish job. I didn't want to have to rebuild it every other ride and I want a long lasting motor. I'm pretty sure I'm up there on the 50 HP mark the way it is now. I haven't dynoed it but I will eventually.

From what I got building my first TT racer is the main thing you need is a fast motor and great handling. I believe I achieved both of those.
