Well boys, what do you think the outcome for a drag race between my 450r (mods in signature) versus my buddys stock 07 crf250???

Theres some wagers on this race, so i'd really like to know your thoughts...

Thanks

my stock 450r could hang with my buddies 06 crf250. Top-end he walks away.

I would say it depends on how good your buddy can launch the bike. I have a friend that has a 05 crf250, and we have just been playing around before and he stayed right with me. that was before i did the fcr carb, and JE piston. So, i would say it would be close, but if you can get your R off the line really well, you should stay out in front. Top end, you should be able to pull away also. just my opinion

ok, maybe not on top end. haha. Architechs is probably right. I have never really raced one. Just played around and he could stay with me. thats all i know. :p

dirt bikes are usually gonna be faster. you gotta look at the power to weight ratio. im not saying always, there will always be eceptions.

just make sure the race is on the shorter side of things and you should be able to win

i can take any quad around here, thats all 450s, raptors, other banshees, ds's, outlaws, etc, and before my port a crf 250R could take me a couple of bike lengths to about 5th and then id start reeling him in
but thats gonna change next week with my new porting:devil:

When I had my Banshee I rode and raced with a guy who rode and lightly ported and modded YZ125. My Banshee stock was fast BUT the 125 would get it on everything but pavement. The bike weighs less and has less drag with only 2 tires equaling about 8"s on the ground compaired to around 25"s on the ground on the 450R. AND the 250F's have about the same power as a lightly modded 450 quad.
