Little Sahara, OK March 3rd and 4th

My cousin, a few buddies and I are thinking about heading towards little sahara for the weekend of March 10th and 11th.(had to change) Anyone interested, post up with some pics of your ride and then we can all decide where to meet at.

Cousin and buddies couldnt make it the 3rd so we are rescheduled for the 10th. Anyone up for going on the 10th? :cool:

We'll be down the following weekend for spring break (at least around here). I'm not sure when Oklahoma is having there spring break. Hey have traditionally done it the weekend before Ks..

Thats cool, I will be back out there for the weekend of the 24th to ride with a different group. Damn gas prices are going to kill me!!! :p

Hey ohsobad_chevy i am from wisconsin and every year we go down aleast twice. We are coming down march 8 to the 11th or 12th. There is a group of about 20- racers from all over the area are getting together to go down. Some from minnesota. we are prolly camping at the south end i think with all the shops the bigger camp ground.

Sweet, we will be there the weekend of the 10th. If you can, either post a pic of your truck and quad and let me know for sure where you will be camping and we will get together. I will be in a 06' GMC Z71 and I will be riding a 2004 red 400ex. My cousin will have both his 250r's and another friend will bring his LT 250r. :devil:

Definately.....I usually start hitting the trails (keystone, Kaw and Appalacia during mid to late spring.)

I don't think so I have a fishing tournament on the 11th and I also have my son that weekend. I am definately gonna go sometime soon I know a few other guys that are wanting to go also.

There are a bunch of people from Pittsburg and Columbus Ks goin down there the last weekend of spring break which is the weekend of the 24th. Supposed to be at least 20 of us headed that way. Usually stay at the south campgrounds i believe. Hopefully there are a lot of people down there.

Yeah, I will be there that weekend......we will have to meet up and get a group ride goin down. My friends, Larry and Josh (owners of customquadworks.com) will be there. We too will be in the south campground, look for a covered trailor with customquadworks on the side and introduce yourself. :cool:

We are riding in about a 35ft RV with a 26ft enclosed trailer i have a 07 blue yfz 450 with janssen motorsports graphics and candy blue a arms. i will posta pic like thurs if i can. Just look for a very large group of guys with racing numbers on most of the quads that us cause 90% of us race quads!

awesome we will definitely stop by the trailor heres a pick of my bike just in case we dont end up in the same campgrounds. Mines the red and black R.

I did a 10 day, which only took me till the 8th of March......looks like rain possibly for Wednesday and Thursday, but should be passed by Thursday night, which will make the sand perfect for riding on Friday. :devil: :devil:

Hey 450rida I'll be going down with you guys too, I can't wait. I'm in with Gumby. We'll have a 35ft trailer pulled by a Ford supercab dually. Do you guys think snow tires ( they say 4 snow on them) would be ok on my 400ex or should I go get some sand tires? This is my first time in the sand, is it worth having fronts too?

I definately think you will need some rear paddle tires.....that is a must. Fronts are not necessary, but they do help you turn a little easier. ;)

i agree rears are important but front are more of use if ur riding really agressive they just give u better and quicker handling

.........May I recomend ITP sand stars.....they work very well for me.

Note: slanted paddles aid in turning, compared to a strait paddle. 8 paddle haulers are still the best for all out drag racing. :cool:

haha i know what you mean im ready for the 24th to get here im stoked!!!!!!!!! I've only been once and it was about 4 hours worth of riding till my buddy broke his back neck and collar bone so needless to say the trip was ended early....

He's alive but he still cant walk. he had been down there at least 20 times before and the one time I go he got drunk and nosedived over a dune at night.
